Payment and refund policy

Launch-review draft. This page explains what a payment buys, when it becomes final and the limited situations in which a refund may apply.

What a payment buys

A successful ranked payment buys immediate public placement at the position the paid total actually earns. A Remembered payment buys one unranked remembrance. Neither purchase promises a permanent rank, traffic, clicks, availability or ownership of a person or animal.

Quotes and protected first place

A checkout quote is a timestamped estimate and never reserves a position. A paid challenge to a protected first place counts immediately toward its real lower board position while its eligibility for first place waits for the displayed release time.

Final payments and limited exceptions

Payments are generally final because public placement starts when payment succeeds. A later rank change, losing a protected-first queue, removal, Unreveal, dissatisfaction with traffic or ordinary downtime does not itself create a refund. We refund where applicable law requires it, for a verified duplicate charge or for a proven technical payment error.

Availability and outages

Availability is not guaranteed. A verified outage longer than fifteen minutes extends affected rolling Today windows by the verified outage duration; it does not automatically create a refund.

Tax and ranking value

Applicable tax is calculated separately. Tax never counts toward rank, Today, All-time, backing or the company-funded shelter milestone.

Questions about a charge
